He said everything I would have...well, maybe a few more:

(near or less than $5 in the Dallas area )
- AF Chateau/Cuban Beli/Double Chateau SG, La Flor Dominicana L300-500 and chisel, and Trilogy

Along with what I listed, AlThor also wins with the Fuente's and Trilogy. I just got the Trilogy cameroon and it is great. Probably even greater with time.

I hate to admit it for pricing and availability reasons. 🙂, but IMVHO, Padron #3000 maduro is absolutely the best-for-price medium smoke I have ever had. I thas a hidden sweetness that many other maduros don't. If you have not tried the Padron maddie, get a 5-er and ENJOY! Sorry for the babble.

Good Lord, $5 a stick. All those cigars mentioned by Smelly, I pay at least double. Ahh you gotta love New York prices....

My tastes may be different, but some of the cigars listed above are anything bu medium bodied:
Torano 1916 Camaroon (has a bit of a kick from the cammy wrapper)
Cohiba XV (xv stands for Xtra Vigoroso or something like that... very full bodied)
CAO L' Anniversary Cameroon (similar kick as the 1916).

I don't mean to be a jerk or anything, just don't want this guy being steered down the wrong path. My opinion, which is not as educated as most everyone here is as follows... along the lines of a few mentioned above:
Trilogy - Corojo or Maduro
Torano Exodus 1959 Gold
Padron #2000
Hoyo De Monterrey 1066
... plus hundreds of lesser known brands.

Burky, the best thing you can do is to read the descriptions and buy samplers to find what you like. Everyone here can rattle off their favorites, but it is all a matter of personal preferrence.

I was giving my honest opinion to what I think are good medium sticks. Possibly my tastes are much different than others but none of the cigars I listed have so much bite you have to sit down. Plus, size-of-cigar makes a difference in strength, and almost all can be found right here on CBid or CI for 5$ or less per stick.
I agree with GB...it's all a matter of personal preference, and bid on 5-packs.

I would have to put my vote in for CAO Brazilia in the Samba model. This guy is a great cigar for under $5....

10-4 on the CAO and I would add Bauza Torpedo to the listing along with Hoya de Monterey Excaliburs!

Wouldn't you class any of the CAO Brazilia line as full?? I smoked a Gol and I loved the taste, but it put me on my butt! 🙂

grond I would consider a Joya De Nic Gran Counsel,
La Flor Dominicana double ligero, or a CAO Extreme bellicose as full bodied. If you want get your but kicked smoke a Joya De Nic Gran now that's full bodied. While I really enjoy Sambas compared to these cigars it's medium bodied but that's just my tastes.

Brazilas are Medium bodied, great cigars and I love them, but I would not consider them full bodied.

Go for Joya de Nicaraguas if you want some kick in the pants!

Funny, I smoke the CAO L'Annie's all the time with minimal effect (above and beyond other mediums I've tried). The extreme struck me as about the same strength as the Brazilia... but maybe I'm just alergic to Brazilian tobacco. 🙂

I have noticed, a little inconsistancy in the CAO Extreme line. I smoke a lot of extremes, at least 5 a week, and I have noticed that one will be a nice medium bodied smoke, and the next one may put me on my ass. That being said, the flavor stays a, nice medium, no matter the strength of the ligero used.

P.S. I have a cooler full of extremes, so ya'll can bid them up for awhile, I have my stash. LOL

If buying from C-bid you should be able to find Fuente 8-5-8s at or under $5 each and they are a wonderful, consistent, well-constructed medium smoke. I would give you a couple of other names but the prices may go up (following Rick's advice). LOL!
