These countries all get defensive agaist each other over territial sovereignty, but let US get involved and they close ranks, because Palestinians, Syrians, Lebanese, Jordanians, Saudis, Iraqis, and Egyptians are ALL arabs. They know they are all arabs, and they know that other than the self-interests of the rulers of each country, the borders that separate them all now are meaningless. They are the fabrication of the weatern world in two post world war divisions of territory. One Palestinian made a statement to this effect back in the seventies, and was assasinated by the PLO, or another Palesinian organization for belieing the fact that there was no ethnic difference between the Palestinians and the citizens of the refugees host countries. I have been there (Middle East), and I think that the real hell will break loose when we stop being interested in oil.... I think in the next 30 years our oil consumption will drop dramatically because of electric cars and more efficient engines, and then the real hell will break loose...
