Don't see much mention of this fine sport on the boards much, and it is time we all come out and say how bad we are. J/K

What is everyones favorite golf cigar?
Do you have a handicap(lol)?
Have you ever played a fancy course?
Funny golf story's?

Stuff like that. Most people on the boards seen to fall in the 22-65 range, and live in prime golf spots. The End

We'll have to discuss this more at the herf this afternoon.... Heck in 40 minutes.... but I like
AF Hemi short stories on the course and at one point 10 years ago was a 15 hcp. Ever since I became a dad 8 1/2 years ago I lost my handicap but many of those who play with me get them from my erratic tee shots.
Try to get out and play at Wllows and Bellevue Muni when I get out 4-6 times a year

I have a golf handicap, though it's not a number. For some reason, I continue to play occasionally. Favorite golfing smoke is the Don Juan Criollo--rich, spicy, and well made so not likely to unravel. It always seems to be just right out on the course.

Favorite cigar - What I have alot of at the time. Smoke 3-4 18 holes.
Handicap - 10
So many courses, so little time. Welcome to Florida.
Most notable, Doral's Blue Monster. Ate my lunch it did.
Matched up with a 3-some of college kids one day. The young man I was riding with was obviously not from Florida. I realized this as he took his shoes and socks off to wade ankle deep into a pond to hit his ball. Sitting in the cart I sez, sez I "If that gator behind you starts to move, I'll let you know". He looks at me and laughs "yeah, right". Well, when he hit his ball that gator decided to move. I let him know. When he turned and saw it he jumped so high I was surprised his shorts stayed anchored. Now, it wasn't a very big gator mind you. Only @ 6-7 feet, and it probably wouldn't have caused him any harm, but I DID tell him.
Poor kid, I beat him like a drum the rest of the 9.

Well I'm jealous that you get to herf this afternoon, but I forgot, BDS and I had a mini herf for lunch, heheheeee.

Golf, whats that? OOO the sport I have been playing for 29 years and I still don't have a hole in one. My handicap stays around a 12, and I have played a lot of private country clubs around SF Bay Area and the central valley. BDS can verify I know how to play.

OK a good golf story, hmmmmm. How bout when we were playing in a City Golf Tourny and my boss's son hit a nice shot going right towards the hole on a par three, but the green was in a blind position. We got up there before my boss and his son, and of course we didn't see the ball. Dennis was wondering around like a turkey looking for the ball, and I said to go look in the cup. Sure enough it was in the cup and Dennis actually pulled the ball out of the cup before JJ could retreive his own Hole in One!!! Heheheheeeee.
Talking about cold. To hit your first Hole in One and not see that ball in the cup, . . . I'd kill.

Until the next time . . . F O R E ! ! ! !

When I was stationed in Hawaii I had a par 3 course right outside the back door or my office building and there's an 18 hole course on the other side of the base sitting right along the ocean. Clark Air Base and Camp John Hay in the Philippines had two of the most beautiful golf courses I've ever seen. I drive past the Langley AFB golf course daily. 25 years of working on Air Force bases and I've never set foot on any of them.

Favorite Golf Cigar-Any Fuente
Handicap-0, Golf Professional
Best Golf Course-Cypress Point, CA, Knew someone that knew someone, that's most likely your only chance to play there.
Best Golf Story-This couple is out playing one afternoon and the women is stung by a bee. They rush in to the golf shop and tell the golf pro, my wife was stung between the first and second hole, what should she do. The pro thinks for a second and tells him she needs to narrow her stance!!!

I play every Saturday and Sunday weather permitting, 15 deg. today. The golf course is my favorite place to smoke. Usually, I smoke 3/round. One of which is a HDM double corona double maduro. I love those things and they last 6 holes.

Bassdude,
Don't blame us for your Corky Thatcher-type reflexes. Golf is indeed a sport, and isn't welcoming to the uncooridinated like you. Hehehehe, J/K too.

> What is everyone's favorite golf cigar?

Same as my other ones.

> Do you have a handicap (lol)?

Alcohol (and big boobs)!

> Have you ever played a fancy course?

Do those windmills count?

> Funny golf stories?

Once we were geocaching across a golf course and the duffers didn't see us and neglected to yell, "Fore!" and we HEARD that thing wingin' by our ears!

I take any type of cigars I want out to tthe course. I dont hold any back. I think if I am going to suck then I am going to smoke a good one.

15 handicap - give or take a couple strokes

Gotten close to being hit the ball and hitting people with a ball, as I am sure has happen to many of us.
One day my friend and myself were out golfing and drinking. I would drink alot during my younger days , oddly enough it didnt help my golf game. 🙂 I was driving the golf cart, we are lazy. I was weaving in and out of the pine trees, when my friend grab the steering wheel and was holding like he was going to run my side into a tree. Well, he let go and I didn't get hit by the tree. But he did at the next tree, I ran the cart right towards the next tree and I guess he thought I was going to pull away like he did. But he realized as soon as a jump out of the cart that he was going face 1st into the tree. I got a big laugh out of it. Like I said we were drinking and he was not hurt and the cart was fine.

sorry but when you drink, smoke and have an all out good time you are either

A. at a SPORTING event
B. enjoying a LEISURE activity
C. at a bar watching a SPORTING event

golf fits in just like bowling, pool and darts

golf is just not a sport and folks who play golf are not athletes. Some athletes do play golf as a hobby.
