Halliburton built port facilities in Viet Nam during the LBJ administration and his wife had stock in the company. I guess that was ok ‘because they were Democrats. As I have said here before, the Democrats are frustrated by the success of the current Bush presidency so they grasp at anything.

IMO, the Democrats don’t want to be seen as hating the military like the Viet Nam days, so they crap all over the employees of US contractors working in Iraq. While they are not in the same danger as our troops, they are working in a place too dangerous for the UN and many other organizations.

Now since Cheney isn't making any money off any perceived Halliburton deals, I wonder who is? The answer might be everyone including those who like to complain about it. Check your 401K. Check your mutual funds, check your city, state, or federal pension. Check your company pension. Find out the details of how the money is invested. You just might find out that you own more shares of Halliburton than ****** Cheney!
