Fuggit... how many of you Shmucks emailed/wrote your congressmen about the HR 2824??? and this isn't one to view and pass over.. I want to see some posts in a positive way.. if you even give a **** about your smoking rghts!!!!!

I sent TWO emails. One to my local rep and the other to the guy running the thing.

I emailed and I'm writing you in on the ballot when I vote...

I emailed everyone on the judiciary commitee, as well as the congressmen and senator, in my state. I Called my Rep. John Boozmans' office, and had a lengthy conversation with an aid, who assured me that my voice would be heard. We have talked before, on several issues, and I am well known by all his aids. LOL

Actually emailed my senators and representative for my district plus the guys on the judiciary committee. Not a single one has sent me a reply. bastiges!!

I replied, but I got an instant reply from mine. Too busy to actuall have someone write or call I guess. I too will remember and vote with my ballot.

Wrote everyone on the judiciary committee as well as all the NM Reps and Congressmen (and women). Didn't hear a thing back from anyone, but didn't expect to really. Hopefully something good will come out of all this.

I wrote my c-man and got a non-commital reply in which I was left with the impression he wouldn't want the cigar language to be added. I'm pretty sure the man's a cigar smoker so we've got a leg up there.

I have a friend that is interning for one of my Senators, so it was easy...and it was hand-delivered to her. I have heard nothing back, but I tried. Washington was not on the list of senator addresses so hopefully us Washingtonians get a say toooo!

Took care of the House committee and my congressman.

E-mailed my congressman and the goon running the judiciary committee! Got a BS auto-reply in return from my "home-boy," but HEY, they're busy up there on the hill solving the world's problems, don't you know?!?!? They don't have time to waste on some bonehead in Pike Road, Alabama, who's worried about getting his cigars through the mail!!! Of course, if there was a little political payoff here -- the kind lobbyists bring to the negotiatin' table -- then look out!!! [Just my pessimistic take on the situation anyways!]

And now I'm thinkin' about voting for you HOG!!!! Let me know when I need to act!

i've emailed my local guy just about every day (i've been sick, so...) since i heard about this. i'll keep emailing until i get a friggin' reply. called his office twice and left messages. forwarded the info on to the guys on my BOTL email list who aren't on any of the BBs to hear about it.
