I just received some Don Kiki churchills, and printed directly onto the tobacco wrapper was the Cigar International name and logo - the wrapper looked like the letters were bleached in. Any one ever seen anything like this? I did a double take when I took off the cello to find printing, and my golf buddies questioned what sort of toxin I was ingesting. I just trusted in the manufacturer that the toxins were no more than would normally be in any cigar and smoked it - the cigar was pretty good - but does anyone know what process is used for this?

I'd like to know too! I have two of the new Perdomo Cielos with the same thing right on the wrapper! Makes you wonder if the wrapper is artificially colored.

I'm sure the utmost care is given when spray-painting the name on the cigar.

I don't see it. My cielos came with no cellos

Mine came without cellos too. I got my Cielos from a former cigarbid-aholic. I don't know if he got them from Cigarbid or Cigars International. They have the CI logo and name running the full length of the cigar. Strange looking! It looks like the logo & name are placed to cover the wrapper, it's artificially colored, then the cover is removed. Looks kinda like a person tanning who puts a shaped sticker on their skin to leave the untanned shape when removed. Would Perdomo artificially color his wrappers?
