...I just picked up a box of robustos here for $88. Now, I have searched and read past opinions on it, but got the feeling not many people had smoked one.

I love Olivas, so I took the risk without trying one.

How are they?

Hey Sonny,

I have only had one, a robusto. If you like Olivias, you have just found heaven. I nubbed mine. I believe you got a great buy.

P.S.If you try them and don't LOVE them, let me know, and we can work something out.

Odd since we like a lot of the same smokes. I only had one. Cut and lit it in the shop I purchased it from. Grabbed a samich from a local deli on the hill and played hookie for an hour.

My first Oliva was an 'O' Bold with the Blue band. It sold me on the line! I'm shopping around for some of those! How do the Master Blends stack up?

I actually had a bidding foupa the other day. Thought I was bidding on the Red band "O" but actually was bidding on the Red Band "O" bold. Had one last night, not bad for a $3 stick nice construction and burn. I nubbed it so I guess I liked it.

But no I thought the MB was terrible. It didn't help my impression that the first robusto I had literally fell apart in my hands. I had a torp a few days later and as I said there was no finesse just in your face power and spice. Reminded me of a DC Maximus without the price tag. The liquidation of my remaining MBs is in the works. Won't be going there again.

I never had a bad Olivia. Kinda like I've never had a bad Torano.

hensed, you don't like the DC Maximus?

I have heard they are on the strong side, but you are the first person to have such an aweful experience. Hey, guess that is why I am asking...to get ALL view points.

I have and smoke the DC Maximus ever once in awhile. The first time I had them I didn't care for them but as they rest they are getting better. The thing is I can think of a dozen sticks in that dollar range I'd rather smoke. So maybe I'm not giving them a chance.

The Master Blend are good now and you are really going to like them after a few months. Just on the fuller side of the Oliva O Bold IMHO. Picked up a box of churchills myself a few weeks ago. Not going to touch them until end of May.

I have a box of the Master Blend torpedos sitting right next to a box of "O" Ovations and an assortment of "O Bold". I haven't had an Oliva I didn't like.

I have thoroughly enjoyed the box of Torps that I purchased and have tried to share with those who have not tried them.

the Master Blend I Torps are very good. Just a hint of ligero that makes that blend so damn good. Just my opinion though...
