Apologies to all for my previous post along this thread...

I'm a newb (clearly), who after my last post expects to have my new 125 gar humi full like in a week and a half.

I'm wondering what you guys think about having an Oasis.

... nice save ...

... and the Cigar Oasis is an excellent humidifier, if you can spare the $$$.

I have three humidors, 300, 125 & 100 All works fine with the humidifiers they came with. Should I ever graduate to a 800/1000 cabinet type humidor some of the more fortunate have then maybe so. I'd rather use the money to buy the cigars.

I have two 500 count humidors and a barrel (250). All have the cigar oasis in them. I like the fact that they don't need to be checked all of the time, but keep a constant humidity. Remember though to let air circulate every once and a while through your humi.

Hope it helps,

Fritz

They are actuall called Climmax Humidification, or Climmax Beads ... and if you do a 'Google' search, you will come up with the answer ...

... just be carful how you spell it when doing your search ... LOL!

Thanks Slim. The only problem I see with the Climaxx is the 75 gar limitation per unit.

Owning a flower shop... I naturally use the large rectangular humdifiers filled with floral foam. I saturate them (the first time) in a 50/50 solution of PG and distilled water. I presently have a a 600 ct. Thompson Oxford, a 200 ct. Colossal, 3 100 ct and 3 25 ct. Finally, I have a 42 qt coolerador which has naked oasis foam in the bottom on a bed of cedar.

I check all of the credos once a month and typically recharge with distilled water every other month. My Oxford is the thirsiest and tends to need recharging monthly. For the price, I find standard credos the most economical and when they are filled first with 50/50 PG and distilled water, the always hold a 70% humidity. It never varies... even when it is extremely humid outside (I live in Louisiana where RH is typically in the 90's).

Email me at rpope123 at bellsouth dot net if you need more information or if you want me to send you a block of floral oasis.

Cheers,
