This movie was on FX tonight. This is in my top 10 list. It is one of the best movies ever made. Anthony Hopkins and Alec Baldwin (spitting on the ground as I type that name...)

And "the bear" in the Alaskan wilderness. The classic tale of man against the elements, against the odds, against man... Great acting! Great cinamatography! Great story!

I hate this movie!!! Not because its not great ( because it is) but because I love to camp and after seeing this movie my wife wont go near the woods. She is scared to death that a man-eating bear will be after her.

one of the best actors in it, of course, was the bear. 🙂 he stars in a film of his own called, appropriately, The Bear -- which is one that i pop into the vcr from time to time because it's just so damn cool. heh... it's kind of like The Edge from the bear's point of view, now that i think about it.
