Lately I have been playing with a few tupperdore's and have used cognac as a solution and I have a rum one resting as well. Do you have any other suggestions and the type of cigar to try as well.

Last week I sampled the cognac cigars and I have to tell you I was amazed at the flavor of the cigar. Your opinion is requested. thanks

If I want to smoke...I'll smoke.

If I want a drink...I'll drink.

Pentz(Doug)turned me on to one of his homemade creations...A cognac infused Gurkha. When I smoked it, it had a barely noticable hint of the cognac. Pleasant treat.

I've got a cognac 'dor that's been setting for awhile now. I started with a bundle of Savinellis and a bundle/box of Maxim de Paris. I later added a handful of gurkha centurians. The savinellis and maxims are both mild and the gurkhas just didn't do it for me so I figured the cognac wouldn't hurt 'em.

I tried a sample a couple months ago but they weren't ripe yet. I could taste only a slight hint of cognac. I've given most of the gurkhas away so there's only 3 left in the humi. It's probably time for another sampling.

All i can say is i have used great cigars and crappy ones, they all sucked!!!! I do say try this for yourself you never know if you will like it, but for me i didnt like any of them. I am giving away all the cigars that i had made like this to my friends that i smoke with.

GIG'EM,

Dan

Why ruin the taste of perfectly good tobacco?

I'm pretty much the same as most everyone else. I don't drink any more, but I used to love a good cognac, armagnac, or brandy. I still love a good cigar. I would just drink the cognac while smoking a good cigar.

I do know this guy who buys cheap dog rockets from Thompson & puts them in a jar with marbles in the bottom along with bourbon. He puts the cigars in the jar, on top of the marbles, & seals it for 30 days. He likes em, but I haven't tried them myself. I have an aversion to both Thompson dog rockets & bourbon:)

Oops. Looks like I broke a rule here. I must apologize. I hadn't read the rules carefully.

oldefuzz,

Shoot me an email with your snailer and I'll send you a couple to try for yourself. I smoked one of the Maxims last night. They've been aging about 6 months. Flavor still not very strong. Still a nice mild smoke.

I'm with those who prefer that their cigars taste like tobacco ... I don't even like being downwind from a burning perfumed cigar ...

That said, some years ago, I DID try a bit of what you're doing, but all my experiements were failures ... I never found ANYthing that worked for me
