How exactly do you "accidently" shoot someone with a 12 gauge shotgun?

Drunk and hoarsing around. I don't think he meant to shoot him myself, I do think he tried to cover it up.

Come on Robby, it was the gun's fault. Jason Williams can't be blamed. He was drunk. He didn't shoot anybody, the gun shot him.

They shouldn't even have tried Jason Williams. Why waste the taxpayers money. What they should have done is sued the manufacturer of the gun. The manufacturer should have made the gun with the capability to measure the blood alcohol level of the person holding it and refuse to fire if said person is intoxicated.
Since the gun didn't stop Jason Williams from firing it, it and its manufacturer is responsible for this senseless death.

Poor little Jason. I guess the alcohol is what took it out of storage, loaded it, pointed it, and then pulled the trigger. Let's blame the alcohol. Oh, wait a minute those shotguns come with a pre-use breathalizer don't they. He He no sarcasim there huh? Blame the man not the instrument. Any instrument may cause death once it has intent behind it.

When someone kills someone else, there is a primary question to ask.

Was it pre-meditated, did the person intend to kill the other; was it manslaughter - did they do something stupid or illegal and someone ended up dead, or was it an accident.

I would say that wielding a shotgun whilst drunk falls in the second category.

I agree it was pure stupidity but consuming a judgement altering/impairing substance such as alcohol is a choice and does not replace or excuse accountability for actions. Explain that to that man's family, that he just did something silly after drinking and see how much they buy into that perspective. Killing someone is killing someone regardless if the defense is standing one's self impaired judgement. He did it didn't he?

I agree with you, the only reason I mentioned alcohol was it was pertinent to this case. He should be guilty of manslaughter.

He should have been convicted of negligent homicide, because that it what it was. I too believe that he didn't "intend" to kill Kristoffi. But he did, due to his own negligence. He also tried to cover it up. He should be convicted of evidence tampering too.

This is the cop in me coming out... He should have his ass beat for being an idiot and thinking only of himself after he shot the guy. Whoever said it was right... perfect example of a rich, privileged piece of ****.
