What is mathematically significant about the following poem?

Sir, I send a rhyme excelling

In sacred truth and rigid spelling

Numerical sprites elucidate

For me the lexicon’s full weight

(i am, to say the least, very mathematically challenged. in college, "math for poets" was my favorite math class). 😃

well, the third line blew the concept of each line having eight syllables

At first I thought it was tied in to a character pattern between the lines of rhyme (+2-1+2) but then I remembered something from my misspent youth, it was that Ptolemy's pi = 3.1416.

Count the numbers of characters in each word of this rhyme & it'll give you the value of pi to some power.
My guess is to the 20th power or so...
