Rick...I know what you're saying but it is a stupid analogy. The world has changed since then. Back in the days of Noah news (by word of mouth ONLY due to a 99.9% illiteracy rate) rarely traveled beyond a community. If it did...it made it a few hundred miles and became so messed up and altered that is failed to have any impact. Very few written sources.

Anyway...you are not Noah...nor are your sources the word of G-d. Yes the masses may fail to hear the real message....the educated masses may not...then there are the few people (y tu?) wandering around carrying their signs that say "The End is Near"....those are the ones we ignore.

The reason I like this is because, as is the case constantly on this forum, it applies to both sides. Just as Rick (and other libs) throws out the doom and gloom if Bush stays in office, Hog (and other cons) throw out the doom and gllom if Kerry is elected when in reality your statement is the truest of all. No matter who is elected, the world will (probably) not come to an end.

Both sides on this forum rarely step back and realize that each side has stengths and weaknesses and no matter who is elected, that person will bring good and bad things to the table. That is just the way it is.

Your right. It's just a matter of which candidate brings the stuff that works for you.

I cannot see being extreme either way...because either one can provide adequate fodder...as proven here.

Mostly what I like to get onto Rick about is his extremist angles. I don't get onto the others so much, because they don't hang out so far over the edge.
