Hello group!

I just received a shipment of 41 cigars and a humidor from cigarbid (that's the good news). The bad news is I'm going out of town tomorrow for 4 days and I won't be able to prep my humidor properly (2 days per the seasoning intructions) before I leave. What's the best way to perserve 36 cigars (41 cigars - 5 cigars that'll make the trip = 36, lol). All suggestions will be appreciated (especially the sarcastic ones).

Thanks, Ken

Just put the cigars in a 'zip-lock' bag, and put them in a cool dark place. That is all that is needed ...

Put them in a fed ex overnight package to me. They will not go to waste. Ok Ok, ziplock bag, cool dark place, bla bla bla.

Agree with Mr. Mean. Or you can buy a humi-pouch from a local tobacconist. But really, four days is nothing. Your stogies will survive just fine in a plastic bag in a cool, dark spot.

Could always freeze them for 4 days. Kills the the bugs. Follow the normal defrost procedures, day in the fridge, back in the humi to rest. I never do this myself, but some people swear by it, and never have infestations. Timing is good for it. Oh hell, ziplock bag, dark corner.

Got an extra cooler or large tupperware? Put them into this along with the humidifying device. If it makes you feel better, throw in a ziplock bag and put into a dark corner...

Don't listen to these jagoffs. Listen to me. I know what I'm talking about.
Put them in a ziplock in a cool, dark place.

I'm not sure, however I think I heard somewhere that if you put them in a Ziplock bag and store them in a cool dark place, they may be O.K. but please confirm this little tid bit before risking your investment.

Here's what you do ky70 take your cigars and put them in a ziplock bag. Now I found the perfect cool place for you to store them just find out where the Philadelphia Flyers are playing and put the bag in their opponents net, since they haven't scored in the last three games your cigars will be cool and safe. Ziplock, tupperware, etc all good ideas, doesn't make a lot of difference since you are only going to be gone for a day or two (5 cigars)!! You can just leave them in their boxes and place them in a cool place! They will not dry up or fall apart! Charlie PS You can send them to me!

Ya know, I heard somewhere if you put them in a ziplock bag and stash the bag in a cool dark place the cigars will be fine. Since I am not sure, the better solution is to put them in a ziplock bag and send them priority mail to .... Charlie, Jack, Rick or anyone else on this board - I'm sure they will be safe....NOT.
