No need to say that this is a stick for serious smokers. The La Gloria Cubana Serie R line is well known for creating high quality cigars and the 2006 is certainly no exception. This torpedo delivers the same full-bodied, complex tastes of other La Gloria Serie R cigars. However, this creation provides a new combination of Dominican and Nicaraguan tobaccos for both the binder and the filler. La Gloria Cubana Serie R Limitada 2006 comes in two varieties, natural and maduro. The Maduro has a Connecticut broadleaf wrapper. The natural comes with an Ecuadoran Sumatra.
The Connecticut Broadleaf is slightly oily to the touch while the natural is smooth. Both are firm and big, with a 63 gauge. Repeat, a 63 gauge. Impressive? You better believe it. As for the smoke, you certainly don’t need us to tell you, but we will anyway. It’s awesome. The first draw will produce a heavy, wood-scented smoke. The ash is light gray and firm.
