People don't pay 11,000,000 hush money if it isn't true. They should be allowed to admit it if go to show a pattern of behavior.

But his lawyers could argue that being the star Michael is that the bad publicity would have cost him more then $11,000,000 and that is why the payment was made.

Prior confivictions should be taken into consideration, prior unsubstantiated alegations should not. Innocent until proven guilty. Since Michael wasn't proven guilty prior its moot. Now I don't like the guy as much as the next but the law is the law.

As much as I would like to see that guy go to jail (if he's guilty and to me, he looks pretty bad), I think it would be very bad for the court system to allow something like this. I don't think that a payoff equals guilt either...if you were a parent and some freak touched your kid, would any amount of money be enough to see the pervert go free?

A woman is sunbathing on the beach. Michael Jackson walks up and stands over her. She looks up at him and says, "Hey -- get out of my sun!"

a person's character may be used against him to show predisposition, but one can't be tried for having a "bad character."
