Here is a good page to get information on the efforts and links to donate if you would like to help.

http://www.google.com/tsunami_relief.html

Also most corporations have matching programs for qualified 501(c)3 organizations. This would mean 2x what you donate to the Red Cross, Unicef, or doctors without borders.

True, but this is our opportunity to show these people that we are not the oppressors that OBL says we are! It DOES irk me that wheen they announced the dispatch of several million $ in aid, some foreign wag pointed out that we sent much more to Florida. Like anybody ELSE was sending relief to Florida!

Seeing as how Sumatra is my favorite coffee, I donated to this last night. Then, when roasting some Sumatra coffee today, I felt guilty and donated again. Truely a shame.

I am extremely happy to report my buddy Steve, who owns a bar in Phuket, sent me an e-mail.

He said he is fine and his bar is open for business. He only had some mud and water to clean up, but he and his establishment were basically unscathed.
