Well, my wonderful wife has done it again! For our anniversary she hand picked twenty premium and super premium cigars for me! I am smoking one of them now, a Davidoff (DR) Double "R" churchill. Man, what an excellent cigar! It is my second experience with this cigar and confirms the first was not a fluke. As for the rest of them they are; (2) Davidoff Double "R" churchils,(2) Avo Domaine perfectos, (2) Oliva "O" torpedos, (1) Diamond Crown #4, (2) Nestor box pressed maduro torpedos, (1) Padron Magnum maduro (2) "A" maduro La Tradition Cabinet Series P, (2) box pressed Sancho Panza torpedos, (2) Camacho Havana Figurados (2) A. Fuente maduro Reserva Xtra Viejo robusto(1) Ashton VSG box pressed torpedo,(2) CAO L'anniversaire coronas,(2) Bauza torpedos, (1) Opus X #2, and last but not least, (1) Padron 1964 Anniversary torpedo (93 average CA rating!)! What a woman! I hope she keeps me! The real kicker is on my 44th B-day on July 2 I am quiting smoking so I get to smoke these puppies all month long! After that, burn one for me!

Due to the overwhelming number of primos you have to smoke before quiting, I think you should just quit now and send them to me. Barry

Congrats! and Condolences!!! Why would you have to give up smoking on your 44th? Hell,I'm 41 and I know I have to give up cigarettes very soon! But cigars????

You guys are great! I really enjoyed the "Last Supper" analogy. As faras giving up cigars on my 44th, it is half economics and half health. When I quit smoking cigarettes 5 years ago, I started smoking cheap cigars. My buddies stepson called them Amocos. As in cigars you buy at the Amoco station. Smart ass kid. Anyway I met my future wife and she bought me some better cigars (hand rolled). Well those were tasy and opened my eyes then later on I tried some super premiums. Oh yeah. I had a taste for the good stuff. Now I smoked these good cigars not to impress anyone because I was alone or just with her. Anyway, once you get a taste for the REALLY good ones it spoils you. It is an expensive proposition. Thanks for the nice comments about the wife. That is the main reason I submitted the first thread was to get nice replies about what a lucky stif I am to have such a sweetheart wife. Thanks guys.

ok ... here's another nice reply about what a sweetheart wife you've got ... a sincere one, too .. as for giving up smoking, I stopped smoking cigarettes at 31, then cigars and a pipe at 41; not once after I quit did I miss the cigarettes ... craving for the pipe disappeared quickly too, but cigars ... well, I nearly ALWAYS wanted a good cigar now and then ... but, I should point out, not "Amocos" ... a GOOD cigar. I quit cigars for a while, but began again and must tell you, I find very great pleasure combined with a feeling of relaxation and serenity in sitting back in the evening with a good cigar ... perhaps my attitude would change if I were told it was a medical necessity to stop smoking the cigars, but from where I sit right now, I think I'd say screw it; I'm stickin' with the cigars. I must say, I agree with Mark Twain who is reputed to have said "if there's no cigar smoking in Heaven, I'm not going" ...
