Padilla (Achilles?) corojo (says 2006 on the band)

Weren't these the ones people complained about fragile wrappers? 🤔 The first 1/3 didn't produce much smoke, was a little spicey, and the burn was slightly off, and I was worried it would be a dud, but 2/3rd's into it and it opened up a bit. By the final 1/3 it was putting out some decent smoke, the burn was sharp, and the spice/tobacco really picked up. The 2nd half was pretty enjoyable. 👍 I have one left. 👎

Now? Don't know. This one is not. But when I tried looking them up on CI I did notice they have changed the label. Btw, I'm guessing this is the Achillles. I've actually forgotten. The new Achilles on CI does say corojo wrapper.

Ernesto never used a cameroon capa on that cigar. The originals were corojo and came without cello. The 2nd release was a different strain of corojo or it possibly criollo (I forget), came in cello and had the same 2006EL band as the OR. Not sure how much changed from the 2nd release to the current release.

ok...I get it now to. DOH! ...cuz...I been sit'n on these for a while... 😰

And just as TG mentioned above, these are/were un-celloed...so these definitely taste different than the ones I leave the cello on. :-"

that looks like the OG with the very thin and fragile Corojo wrapper...I am still sitting on about 10 of these. They have aged pretty good but have lost a bit of the creaminess they had when first released
