I have to agree that Ol' George is overdoing this one. Because of security issues, if it was me, i'd have a very small inauguration and save the friggin' $$$.

why the hell are we spending that much money for a party. i don't care that it came from "private" investors, the money could easily have been converted by the prince to serve the needs of others. perhaaps, just perhaps, he sees only his own need.

CNN.com: "The quadrennial presidential celebration is expected to cost about $40 million, with money raised from ticket sales and private donations." I would have preferred he skipped it all together, but then again, I gave to the Red Cross and not the inauguration.

Clinton's was $33 million 12 years ago. Of course back in them days there were no poor people, no disasters, no wars, no famine where it could be better spent - it was just all extra money.
