A while back I was griping about a box of La Perla that I had bought. Most of the sticks were so tight a Dyson could not get anywhere with them. Mr. Newell offered to send me a couple he had for comparison.

He did not just send a couple La Perlas.

3 La Perla Morados

AB Tempus

AB Tempus Maduro

AB Prensada

AB Overture

AB Medalist

PDR 1878 Capa Maduro

LP Undercrown

Tatujale Havana VI

WOW! a very kind gesture.

Thank you!

Enjoy, Clay.

The Morado on the left is a great stick from competitor A. Morado on the right is a great stick from competitor B. Morado in the middle is a spongy, POS yardgar with what appears to be a lower quality wrapper leaf, and a completely different flavor profile. Even the band is fuzzy and not sharp like the other two, kind of like a fake Cuban. Not going to mention where the center POS came from.

Overture and Medalist are no longer made, so don't go looking around for more. Though it may take half a dozen lights to get going, that 1878 Capa Maduro is the smokest stick I've ever had the pleasure of. I really enjoy them and wish CBid would add them to their PDR offerings.
