I don't know about that. But the Jesus shirt thread got locked down so I couldn't respond to your post countryboy. I would do so now but I'm guessing that c-bid wants this particular discussion to stop.

8trackdisco,
"The "Jesus is metal" shirt thread is still alive,"
Nope it's on Lockdown...

"but I didn't see "insensative rick"."

This thread was pulled? why I don't know?? but now I see everyone venting on Liz's thread about Tony rather then venting how Rick did on that thread!!!! I Don't want to see Liz's thread also pulled because others want to vent at Rick...

She posted that for Tony in Rememberance not for the following on!!!!

it's not really alive. it can be seen, but it can't be responded to.

cbid, where do you draw the line? sure, some folks were offended, but these days it doesn't take much. i'm not saying these threads should not have been ended or pulled, but it seems odd to me. what criteria do you use to determine how to react? do you base it one the opinions of customers that spend a lot on your site? i've seen some folks go pretty crazy at some threads, but nothing happens. i've seen some rather questionable material that stays put. seriously, how do you decide what to pull or lock down?

by the way, the comment about customers that spend a lot was not intended as a cheap shot. that's a sincere question. i would actually not be surprised if that were a factor at times. i don't have a problem with it, personally, i'm just curious.

Didn't read the rick thread (I don't read his tripe). And I don't know why the Jesus shirt thread was locked.

BUT its c-bid's site. They have a write to post, pull, lock down whatever they want with or without an explanation. Just try to ignore what isn't there and enjoy what is.

yeah, i know. i'm just curious.

btw, plabonte, i read the link you provided about the mcdonald's coffee burn lawsuit. thanks. i never saw the facts before. the media did seem to blow that up a bit more than it may have needed. i guess i shouldn't be surprised.

Lately, I've noticed an abundance of posts and threads that have been created for the sole purpose of 'bashing' individuals on the forum. This is against the rules and conditions of the forum. Therefore, they have been edited, closed and/or removed.

Where do we draw the line? Tough to say, there is no 'line' to speak of. If there were, we'd be pulling and editing much more frequently. It's your forum, you guys drive the discussion, and as moderators, we try to keep you guys following the rules to create a more positive and enjoyable atmosphere for its users. That is all.

Good point! I was just curious because I've seen a lot of complaints in the past that have resulted in no visible action at all. Others, on the other hand, have drawn very quick action. As I said, I was just curious. Thanks.

We do what we can. We don't want to censor you guys. We're all adults here, and should be able to handle the discussions at hand on an adult level. However, there are times when our action is required.

As a general rule, we try to leave the boards as they are and let things work themselves out, but there are times when the best interest of everyone comes in to play. This is when action is taken.
