Fellas (and ladies),

We booked our trip to Disney and we're thinking our six year old point and shoot isn't going to get the job done on this one.

So...who has one for trade and/or trade & sale?

Our camera right now is a Canon PowerShot SX100 IS

We don't have any complaints, but it seems to be mildly pixelated when we want to enlarge a photo.

I like having various settings, but I also prefer some point and shoot. We need something that will snap a bunch of photos quickly and we need to be able to zoom in. I also like Macro shooting, but that's just me trying to find fun stuff in small places (insert **** joke here I suppose! LOL)

I just figured someone who upgrades often may have what we're looking for.

not sure if this would be of interest, but this is the camera I have and it works perfectly. My bro has one as well, its got some cool in-cam features, the megapixels are perfect for making pics bigger and editing them....i use it for my Photography class with photoshop and the qualities always there when i enlarge them

at 240 its a stellar deal. I also take fast shots with it while I longboard. It always takes awesome pics without the flash for a more natural photo rather than washed out with a flash. Hope it helps!

Funny because I went there after I posted the thread and it suggested (based on their quiz of usage) that I only need a point & shoot plus "extras".

Makes me feel better only because I wasn't ready to drop $1k on a camera my kids might drop handing it to me!

I'm leaning towards this one, mostly because ours has worked faithfully for over 6 years - Canon PowerShot SX260 HS

Anyone have a good reason to NOT get it??

M, we have that same camera. It's great. Takes great photos and video. The megapixel is more than enough plus the digital / optical zoom will help you eliminate your grainy photo problems

You may want to consider the Olympus Stylus Tough line as well. Very capable point and shoot that is water, dust and shock proof. It's what I use when I don't want to bring out the big Canon or I know I'm going to be in inclement weather.

Just replaced by wife's Canon Elph SD40 with a Nikon 4300. No more Canon's for me. Nikon all the way from now on. However my daughter has a Lumix which is also a nice camera.

You don't want to be carrying a big 35mm-style digital all day throughout Disney. You'll get tired of carrying the bulk and extra weight. If you're looking for something resistant to the weather (as it will rain while you are there) look at Nilon's CoolPix AW100 Waterproof digital camera.

Canon PowerShot SX260 HS

• Is that a plastic lense????

• Do you really need a GPS tracker with Maps on a camera???

In that price range look at Nikon's Coolpix S8200, S9300 or Coolpix P310

general rule on camera's especially DSLR's- cannon as more "features"(mostly useless frills for those who know how to set aperture and speed) Nikon has better glass. The lenses for the Nikon camera's are really the best in the business The Nikon D3100 can be had for around $500 and as you get more confident, you can spend the money on glass instead of on buying another point ans shoot with "features"

Just my 2 cents. (coming from a guy who bought his wife the cannon rebel.)
