Hey guys and gals,

New to the forums here, made a few purchases but never posted anything. I figured I would stop being anti-social and join in the fun. Plus, there is a lot of good knowledge to be had on here. I absolutely hate talking about myself; never know what to say. I am in the Air Force, less than 4 years from retirement!! I live in Bossier City, Louisiana. I've been smoking for a handful of years now. Taken some time off here and there for no particular reason. I prefer a fuller bodied smoke, but enjoy a pretty good range as long as it isn't too mild. A good mild smoke in the morning isn't bad, before you get some food in your belly. Some smokes I enjoy, Diesel, Man of War, Acid Kuba Kuba, Rocky Patel Sungrown, Camacho Coloyar Puro. I don't really have any favorite, other than the Kuba. There are too many out there even begin to think I've even scratched the surface. Hopefully I have plenty of years ahead to find some real gems. anyway, I'll stop there. Hope to learn a lot from you guys and the plethora of posts on here. And yes, I finally converted my cooler to a small coolidor, read about it a while back but never got around to it, plus my two humi's ran out of room and I had to put humidifier packs in two cigar boxes to try and keep them up.

Later,

Swanny

Welcome. Go over to the noob trade thread if interested. It's where alot of us, including myself got a good start on this addiction.

Thank you sir for your service. Look for cigar get-togethers in your area. Herfs, we call them.

You might also look into ammo can humidors, or a coolerdor.

Welcome!

Nice intro good sir.

Kuba Kuba and Five are the only Acid I would ever think about smoking again. Hope you store your candy sticks seperate from the traditional ones.

Try getting together with some of the fellas here....good bunch, even the rugby players.

I like the Acid One also, but that's just me. Why is it that some ppl say to store them separate? Before I had a larger humi I had a 100 count desktop and have stored ACIDS ,CAO flavors and a few others together for a few years even and have never tasted a hint of one on any others. I mean I know I'm not an expert but even though I may not be able to explain everything I taste in one, I know when it doesn't taste like it should. Not trying to start an intense discussion, just asking

I know a little about the infusion process to stay informed on the subject, not any specifics though. I don't know if makes a difference but I always keep the cello on my sticks

Honestly I've asked several people what the reason was and every answer I got was basicly the same that cigar "traditionalist" didn't care for them so they gave'em a bad wrap. I never really looked into it any further, just took it at face value I guess. I like'em so I smoke'em

The tobaccos are cured in areas called cuarto aromaticos (aroma rooms) for months prior to rolling - these rooms are lined with over 150 different essential herbs, oils and botanicals imbued into the cigars over time. Handmade in Nicaragua with all natural ingredients, each ACID cigar size offers a distinct flavor and aroma.

Cello is porous. If it wasnt you could leave them outside your humi like a tubo.

You might not taste a difference because you smoke those sticks.

I've tried 5-7 different Acids.

Not my cup o tea, but I like trying new things and not writting things off without having an open mind.

I wont ever buy one again.

I think most "traditionalists" just like the taste of good tobacco. Not perfume, which many conpare these to. I know they sell well.

Hello and welcome. Post pictures of your female relatives and Rah will give you his list of great value smokes.

I seriously considered smoking an acid last week or so. I pulled one out of the little flavored humi, pulled it from the cello, and gave it a sniff. It turned my stomach so I put it back.

Close call!

Yeah I knew that much about them. I smoke them and traditional and none of my traditional that were in there even had a hint of the normal floral and distinct notes that the acids do, oh well I guess its just personal preference. Anyway I guess the way I look at it is the "aroma rooms" are saturated in what they are infusing the tobacco with and a couple of Acid sticks in a humi are not even close to that amount and even if it did "taint" another stick, it would take an extremely long time to do so. That's just my opinion
