smoked a few each of four vitolas now (Ark, Clermont, Grail, Knights).........

meh................good burn/draw, but pretty one dimensional & flat imo as far as flavor......

maybe I smoked the four weakest vitolas?

Are the Reconquistas any good? I scored 5 (in coffins) a few months back for well under $5/each and was stoked about that...................now I'm not so sure..............

Regular Ave Maria are off my buy list..........

I recently had one gifted to me by Lefty I believe... It wasn't the worlds most amazing cigar, but I definitely enjoyed it a great deal and am looking to add them to my rotation...

There a good cheap smoke. Not alot of flavor but good enough when ur yard working. The reconq. Are to pricey. Store them and come back to them in about a year or so

I didn't want to say it, but glad you did, cause I 100% agree................good yard gar.....................problem is...............................it's at a mid-range price point...............that's why I'm dropping it

I'll let those Recons rest and hope for the best...............

Won some in samplers for around $2. I'd buy them at that price, but not for what they normally go for here.

I have to concur, not something I search for.

Agreed.

This is a pretty nice fishing gar. I actually like the cigar, but, not at the current price point. I keep hoping the prices will drop, but, sadly I know they probably wont.

The band is too pretty, and leads many to believe that this cigar is more than it is. A mirage, if you will.

Agree that the band is pretty sweet but sadly the best part of the cigar.

I dunno, but my palate finds the Ave Maria tasty. I've had a couple of the toros. There's a sweet musky flavor in the first inch, which I find very pleasant and haven't tasted in any other cigar. There is also some hints of spice and pepper in the first third. That muskiness disappears into a mild, slightly spicy and floral flavor. The tobacco is mild and not harsh.

I smoked another one today, to see if the Ave Maria toro was as good as I remember. It was not. Gone was the sweet muskiness with spice and pepper in the first inch. The cigar was pretty consistent throughout, mild and mellow with slight sweetness, just a hint of spice in the beginning and at the last third. Construction was very good, the burn was straight, and it porduced a good amount of smoke, 4.086 VSU. Overall, a disappointment, based on my memory of the first two that I had, which were gifted. This one was one of five I bought a couple of months ago here. I've got a couple more that I'll try again later.
