Thoughts? I usually keep my coolerdor upstairs but I noticed it was in the 77ish temperature range and I thought that was running a little warm. It stays at a perfect 64% humidity but I was thinking about moving it to the basement to keep it closer to 70 degrees or below. Is temp really that important when it's that low? I'm not talking like over 100 degrees like some places in the desert or anything. I haven't noticed any issues the last few weeks even with the warmer then usual temps in Chicago but I've always heard to keep it around 70 degrees.

Overhumidified your risk is mold.

To hot you risk beatles.

Alright, basement it is then. Can't risk ruining my 4 boxes of PI's!

Thanks

Most manufacturers flash freeze which is supposed to kill larve.......mine get up to 75-80* sometimes no problems.

Never had any issues with mine, knock on wood, and they almost always stay above 73º.

Florida is a challenge, I used to freak out about this tihs , now 75 is the norm in the summer and most of the winter.

I keep my stuff about 60-64% year round and I m good.

Just dragged out a troop tub with about 100 smokes and 8 pillows that I have not checked in about 6 months.

Pillows were barely damp, 62% @ 74.

perfect!

My humis are rarely under 74 degrees. I mean almost NEVER! In the summer 76 when it 96 out.

I have no AC in my house and it will sometimes get above '100. Should I still keep the 68-70% humidity?

Remember......if the temp goes up, the humidity needs to go down (not below 58). If the humidity goes up, the temp BETTER go down. Otherwise you are going to turn your humi into a biology experiment.

I'm a big fan of 60%/60F (Always been good for me.) The ability of air to hold humidity decreases as temp decreases (something to do with the dew point as I vaguely recall).

I am really close to buckwheat here, I like them at 62/62-64(temp) year round. It used to be 62/66 or so, it seems like I keep going down on the temp.

Does it always have to be "us versus them"? Can't we all just get along.
