Peterson Gran Reserva

I smoked the last of a fiver I picked up waaaay back. They were good then (~5 years ago), and it was good a few days ago. It started with a little crack in the wrapper, but it wasn't an issue

Advice to the noobs: 5-packs are nice, but if you find a cigar you like, and you hear they are going to stop being produced...buy a box! Or buy a bunch of 5-packs. 🌫

I bought a 5 pack early last year because Peterson is my last name and they received good ratings. Must have smoked them during the sick period because I didn't care for them too much. Guess I'll have to revisit also

Tucker had sent me a couple of these over the last couple years. They were very nice. I looked at all the sites that I have perused the last couple days for haven't found it yet. I know that I saw that someone had some......

Thanks, guys. I got the PMs. I'll check it out...just checked 'em out. Hmmm, interesting. Correct me if I'm wrong, but these aren't produced anymore, correct? If that's the case these have some age on them, though I'm not sure when it was they may have stopped production. I'm thinking possibly 3 years ago, maybe more? These were a great buy, as Soundta mentioned, especially on cbid. If I'm not mistaken, weren't they made by Ashton...or some premium brand?

Did some quick googling...cameroon wrapper..yum. Speaking of bargain, I found an old thread where someone linked a deal CI was running in Sept 2006 for the corona and robusto sizes...1 Box for $39.95 or 2 for $69. I smoked the churchill.

Yup, it's an Ashton smoke. It's still on their web site......and is actually on several web sites, but they don't actually have any and some even have posted that the cigar has been discontinued.

A signature smoke from a great BOTL (BasicPatrick). He always included one in his bombs and gift bags. Sorry to see them go. (I think they have been out of production for a few years now).

When they first hit CBid or CI, I gobbled up a bunch of Robustos.
Then they were MIA for a while and came back with some torps.
Not nearly as tasty as the Robustos, probably a different blend.

If I could get that original blend, I'd be a happy camper.

APBT & Tailgater, not sure there was anything other than OR. From my few seconds of googling, it looks as though they were introduced in 2004 at the IPC-whatever-whatever trade show and were gone sometime in 2006ish when CI had a blowout sale on boxes (mentioned in a previous reply of mine). I don't know...I can't really confirm that anything changed in them. Perhaps some vitolas just tasted better than the others, which seems to be the case with some cigars.
