I'm confused 😣

Okay, I only had one LFD Factory Press II, and so I never smoked it. Then I came across a 5er--problem solved! The 5er looked the same as the one I already had (Smoked one, loved it.)

I was going through my other LFDs, and noticed that I have 2 different sizes of cigars that say simply "Factory Press" on them, no numerals. One is a ginormous 6x60 type size (looks the same as the current FPIVs) ... I'm actually smoking my last one now.

The other "Factory Press" sticks I have, like 4-5, are much smaller ... basically the same size as the FPIIs I have ... but again they just say "Factory Press."

So was there a 2nd release of the original Factory Press that was smaller? Or perhaps the first run of the Factory Press IIs didn't have the "II" on the band?

lol. I actually considered that they might be fakes, but the Factory Press band fits perfectly on the smaller 54-ish rg versions, and the big 60-rg band wouldn't.

I do now recall that when I bought these there was something unique about them, but that could just be because at the time I bought them I had not yet smoked an FP1.

Please don't say that CI bought the LFD label now.

I bought a IV the last time I was at Jeff's place in Orlando and was really enjoying it. We were sitting outside with a few local guys and one of them asked me if I liked it. I told him it was great. He ran out to his car and brought me back a FP1. It was phenominal. I don't remember the difference in size or band but the FP1 was very dark and oily and it was unbelievable.

Nate, I think these are the prensados or double press. They come in 20ct boxes and are smaller then FP.

Actually, according to my local LFD rep they do not do business with the big internet auction sites. And when they find out their stock is being auctioned they research and find which authorized distributes are selling to the internet sites the cut those accounts.

I have a double press, similar size but it doesn't have a 2ndary band. These have the 2nd band that says "Factory Press" but are the same size as the ones I have with the "Factory Press II" band.

Factory Press — 6 1/2 x 60

Factory Press II — 6 1/4 x 54

Factory Press III — 6 1/4 x 58

Factory Press IV — 6 1/2 x 60

The FP labels have Factory Press on them with numerals for everything past the OR.

Agree with ntoben these are probably Prensados which were done in a shorter format, similar blend. 5 1/2" x 54 which sounds like it accounts for the size difference.

Did these Prensados say "Factory Press" on the band? Also, these are like 6 or 6 1/4 x 54-ish.

Yes they said Factory Press xx on the bands. The difference was the size. Really a Robusto Larga/Gordo and didn't come in cabinets of 120 just regular boxes of 20/25 IIRC

Okay, do you know what year they came out? I purchased these because they were purported to be "Factory Press Is," so I'm wondering now if it's even the same blend.

Thank you! That's good news. I like the blend, but the OR is a bit big, this size suits me better.
