I have never bought a graycliff but have gotten a few as hitch hikers. Never thought I would care for them but the ones I've tried we're good. But the one I just had this morning was from Celtic. It was a graycliff 1999 vintage I think. Blue band and a VERY tinted cello. It was a GREAT smoke! Pleasantly surprised to say the least. Thanks Celtic.

I'd guess, then, that you'll continue to be pleasantly surprised as you work through the line. I've tried many (most?) and these are some short impressions:

1999 - Not sure I know what that one is

Blue (Professional?) - absolutely awful - all the moreso considering price

Dark Blue (1966) - On the wrong side of 'harsh' -- Barely tolerable, if only because they're so cheap --- where are these made again?

Red - meh - not objectionable, but nothing the least bit memorable

White (Crystal) - smooth and creamy - nice

Dbl Expresso - Pretty darn good cigar, but I have trouble with the price point

G2 and Turbo did nothing for me

Never had Green or Purple that I can recall

Yes. Looking at the band it's vintage 1999 blue label. It has a double band and we all know that if there are 2 bands then it will be a phenominal cigar! Otherwise they would have just put on 1 band? So far I had the red and it wasn't bad. Then before this one I had the crystal from zito and it was very good. Abrinac just suggested I try kristoff so I will give them a shot

Them 1999 are great, if I recall correctly, it was out about 4 or 5 years ago, it is a great smoke, they are starting to be pretty hard to come by now though. I think all graycliffs are decent, they do age nicely.

Graycliff Crystal and Platinum are my favorite "cheap smokes". Last year they had an LE band. Not sure if the blend is different than this year.

I think the graycliff 1999 is within reach for my kids, I think they picked one out for me to smoke a month ago.

If I remember correctly, the 1999 is the blue label professional. The story was that Graycliff "found" a pallet full of professionals that were rolled in 1999 and put in storage with some raw leaf that was aging. Sometime in 2006 or 2007 the pallet was "found" and CI purchased the whole lot of cigars.

Good cigar but not easy to find these days. I think I have 2 left. These were one of my first CB purchases.

It was very complex. The body built up nicely towards the end. It was far more interesting than I had expected. You (zito) should def have it as your first smoke of the day when you burn it.

The Crystal was always my favirote. The regular blue, not so much. I als0 like the black, much stronger than all the rest. The 1999, very good, wish I had more.

Campage, glad you liked the cigar.

Actually I liked all except 2! And that's because I'm saving them for a special occasion.

Very very much appreciated
