I saw a guy at my B&M light a cigar off of someone else's lit cigar. I was shocked by what I saw! He picked up a burning stick from the ashtray, tapped the ash and lit his cigar off of it!

Shop owner threw him out. Couldn't believe it!

My wife has told me that she observes me outside "talking" to my cigar. Said I hold it up, gazing at it for a bit, before talking to it. She said that after lighting I do the same thing.

I just think she is jealous.

Give it a good sniff, clip the cap, test the draw, toast it with a torch, give it a soft blow after torching, then give it a puff.

If it's a gar that I am punch cutting, I will wet the mouth then punch cut it and then take a couple of draws before lighting. I'll hold the cigar far enough away from the flame that it lightly toasts the foot without burning the wrapper.

If it's a gar that I'm going to use a cutter on, I will light it first the same way, then cut it, and then add a little more flame on a couple of draws.
