As already mentioned, DE isn't the only company that patches cigars. I attempted to smoke an AF WOAN today, in Russia, that had a patch the size of my thumb covering two large holes in the middle of the stick. It also oozed tar less than one inch in and was "green" to the point of unsmokable. Should have lit an Undercrown.

Smoked a UC from the local B & M last night... patched. But, as others have previously stated, still a great cigar and did not change the way it smoked at all. Just adding to the list/discussion, not at all concerned about it.
