Have seen some folks use the rope-style lights. Any thought to under-cabinet small florescent lighting. Little heat and some run off batteries if it's only for display or seeing what you're grabbing.

it's battery operated but use remote, so you don't need to open the door to turn it on, I know its not plug in, but it might work.

Give this a try, and you can purchase a remote for the plug or even hook up a motion sensor so it turns on when you walk by.

Yeah i;m going with something like the under cabinet ones, the ones i bought pluged in, but was to hot, just wondering if there is another set out there that will not b hot. I don't like the battery ones, don't want to have to push each one every time, electric ones have a switch on them

Haven't looked to see who makes 'em, but I've got two that came with my Liberty Safe, that are LED, and you can choose the option to turn on manually or to come on by motion, and stay on either 30 or 60 seconds. I am in and out of the safe pretty regular and they have held up well. We took one down to the end of the driveway and put out by our yard sale stuff when left overnight and it lasted a few weeks befoere I had to put fresh batteries in.

I bet you can find them somewhere cheaper, but these work great, put out almost no heat. They came with the safe, and there is no brand name on them?
