I have a video surveillance system.
One day Fed Ex said they dropped off a package on our door step and it was no where to be found.
I called Fed Ex and asked when it was delivered and they gave me the time. I went to the tapes and no vehicle in the drive at that time.
So I called them back and explained that the surveillance tapes are time stamped and don't show any Fed Ex truck during that time.
It was a $1300 package and had I not had the surveillance system, I might have lost out on it. As it was, the driver delivered it to the wrong house. It was retrieved and delivered to the house.
So all in all, the surveillance system was $500, plus $300 for the installation. That one thing paid the cost of the system.
While I like the idea of the webcams for surveillance, I opted for a stand alone system with a recorder.
