Thanks to Numis, I made these from concrete formed to actual tobacco leaves. Two made the trip to the Moose Manor herf and were given to great friends C3S and BoilerEMT. The last is on it's way to Mark. Thanks for getting me some leaves to try this out.

Sweet.

Interestingly enough, I woke up this morning thinking about making some ashtrays. Even brought some wood into the garage today just in case I get some time to try. Those, however, are a much cooler idea than I have.

Cool, but gotta weigh a ton in concrete!
Saw one of these similar ashtrays on another price site, but it was a composition of 3 leaves and created in porcelain.

My uzi weighs a ton...and so do my ashtrays. 😂

Porcelain/clay would be a good alternative.

That is kind of where I was going. Nice for on a deck, but fine for inside. I didn't see the weight on the one shipped, but it might be on the DC info:

Went out Monday Mark.

Tuck, yours and the others were made from leaves in my yard and garden. Elephant ear, hosta, brussel sprout, and one other.

Funny; I'm on facebook and see someone had posted a picture that looked just like one of these ashtrays. Then I realize it is Mark's wife! I take it that it showed up and is already holding a cigar!

Haven't been feeling very good, lotsa pain, plus lots to do and no time to be on here, but today while down by the road, the mail lady stops while I was unloading a trailer load of trash and hands me a box ( my street and state had been peeled off with a missing layer of tape?, glad I got it!)

Along with a variety of cigars I been wanting to try.

Mine weighs about 2.75#, and when you see my pic will hold 7-8 cigars, easily, really cool, and had to be a real tricky chore, GREAT JOB, LOU=d>

I am honored, and knew I was growing that tobacco for some good reason, glad the 'Spirits" helped this along. Some great work, that will be around for generations.

those are awesome!! my dad has one very similar to those made out of ceramic and painted up real nice, I've looked for the same thing and couldn't find one like it anywhere (as far as a realistic looking one)...mom found it at a flea market type deal and it doesn't have any markings on it. Very nice!

Very cool. If you get a stock pile , let me know. I could sell them in my shpo.
Do you use green leaves or after they are brown? Does it matter?
