Yeah, those are really cool. My wife does sculptures in concrete, and I showed her these pics. She was pretty impressed.

what kind of concrete do you use..?? is it just mortar mix with an additive..?? 😕

told me quikrete, but I mentioned fiber, etc. could make some really cool ones, this had to be tough, the leaves are real "hairy" in texture and sticky with oils

check with lou, I think he creates them in a sand type form, then lets 'em cure under water for a week

Did these with quikrete, but then have to seive the stones out. Next time I'm getting mortar mix. I used drywall mesh to strengthen the concrete and help it from cracking. I tried doing the rests right on the ends, but once I started spreading the concrete, the leaf walked a little off the sand form. I will try to post a pic of Tuck and Chazz's so you can see what they look like from other kind of leaves.

I think they are awesome, and the one you did for the koi pool water catch from the elephant ear was sharp.

Something you do because you enjoy it, I would like to try and make a good re-usable mold of one of those real large connie leaves.

I'm gonna try and start some plants and send them around, if not for $20, maybe less, you can order from new hope seeds and you get 4 plants at the perfect time to be planted, in the mail, that's what I did, but have kept many seeds, and will give out some after they've dried and I can gather the pods/seeds.

almost too cool to use, glad you and C3 got one.......I won a Torano ashtray last night at a local cigar event.......well the lady that won it gave it to me, LOL.......I rarely use one, but will use that one instead.
