Some people take these forums FAR too seriously. I have been enjoying everyone's comments and contributions here, and if I find myself annoyed by the comments or attitude of certain individuals, I just ignore them in the future.

The best response to a flame is NO RESPONSE at all.

I lived in Spearfish(18 mi from Sturgis) for 3+ yrs and rode a Yamaha RD 400 two stroke that would smoke most of the Harleys/riders in Sturgis in the 1/4 mile.Talk about fun stuff!Yeah and I'd ride the 18 miles,sometimes in the rain to sleep on the ground as well...LOL

Todog ... actually, I thought it was pretty good strategy. I wasn't trying to bait E-Chick, just make a point about the direction some of the posts seemed to always take. I said all I wanted to say on the subject, and my point was made. Had I stayed, it could have got ugly ... and my intention was not to go there.

By my not being here to fan the flames, the fire took it's course and died out to the point where it I could come back and take care of damage control in a calm and adult manner, without rampant emotional outbursts or anger taking over. I think that was a very mature way to handle it ...

As you can see in E-Chick's latest thread ... all is resolved, and we both know where each other stands on the issue ... without all the extra jabbing that could have taken place.
