It would just be called South Germany.

Target won't let the Salvation Army collect money at Xmas either.

Plenty of reasons not to shop at Target, but this one is a myth.

Not so much of a myth, but a little issue that has been blown way out of proportion by a miffed vet. Do a google search and you'll find out the facts.

Target DOES, however, have a no solicitation policy. Which means that they do not allow Salvation Army, or any other organization, to solicit donations on their premises.

Some disagree with this policy, but I get sick of getting mugged at the doors of supermarkets by sports teams, scouts, etc looking for a free handout.

I am with you andytv!

On especially bad days, i.e., PMS...some bum approaches me looking for a handout. Perfect response: I'll give you a dollar if you let me deck you.

The indignant pricks have the audacity to tell ME off!

I still have fun with it...

I had to take a call and wanted to further respond but hit the send button:

Our Vets have ensured their rights to free enterprise. If TFTs isn't allowed and I'm aware of it, then I won't be spending my money there.

Also, I help out our Vets in any way that I can as long as it's a legitimate venue...and I'd boycott any place that would put the cabash on them. People on the street corners holding signs are a joke. If they beg from me, I tell them how hard my family works to have a life and that they need to use the resources available to them. There are step-ups and I'm willing to help with that.

In fact, there is a great shelter in my area that I have volunteered at called Solutions for Change. You either work and/or go to school to improve your situation, or you're out. Period.

I haven't been active in over a year there and I think that now is a good time to get back into it since I'm thinking about it. I will always help, but I don't give hand outs.

Don't forget that there is a Support our Troops section on CigarBid and also OpFTH.org...

:)
