Any boxing fans out there?

I am forever watching ESPN's Friday Night Fights, but it turns out this week I could have been ringside!!

They were at the Pechanga Resort and Casino in beautiful Temecula California... about 3 friggin' miles from my house!

Had I known that I would have had my wife get some tickets for me. She could get them for nada. She's dropped so much dough there they shoulda named a wing of the damn hotel after her, but I digress...

I love Friday Night Fights as well, MACS.
My wife and I feel that it clears the air until Monday.

Seriously though, I really enjoy ESPN's FNF, Showtime's, and especially HBO's fights.

I hear that Riddick Bowe will be making a comeback now that Lenox Lewis is (temporarily?) out of the picture...

Riddick Bowe shouldn't be allowed to fight ever again. If you saw last weeks episode of FNF you saw a slow witted, punch drunk, former boxer.

He's going to get seriously hurt if he fights any of the heavyweight contenders.

Riddick missed his chance for greatness & $$$ when he passed up on "the fight" with Lennox.
He can thank his manager/activist Rock Neuman for that.
IMO, he can still rank in the top 10 if he loses 20 pounds & if they select the opponents carefully- guys who can't bang or cover up effectively. LOL!

Do you realize that every time a boxer gets hit hard (not necessarily knocked out), he suffers a concussion?

They did a posthumous study on British prize fighters and discovered that their brains actually shrunk within the cranial casing, due to the head blows.

At one time, I wanted to be a prize fighter but I got married instead. LOL

I never really thought about boxing until they started doing it on the ship. Then I wanted to try it.

Found out there was a REASON for that. LMAO!

Hey Mr. Huevos Rancheros, you're being modest.

I heard that you gave your opponent such an unmerciful pummelling that it took weeks for his knuckles to heal. LOL!

You've got heart, my brother.

I'm tellin' ya Dan... if I find out in time, my wife can probably get us ringside for nothing.
