Just wanted to thank SLED for a smooth transaction. Great cigars in good condition. Well packaged. Prompt delivery. Haven't had some of these and others I've had plenty of...Quality is a +. Just wanted to give him credit.

I know there was a bit of a rough start with that intro thread but my experience with him has been the exact opposite. Nice guy. I'd gladly trade with him again...even though he snuck in some stogies I wasn't expecting.. Pissed me off..he outdid me.. I won't hold it against him, though.

This is true..I didn't catch that one..I've never had that one so it didn't occur to me.. The ones I did check seemed okay. I'm going to re-check..and smoke to make sure.. I'll let you know on the rest..

Sometimes you win and sometimes you lose. The piramides seems to be one of the losers. I'm going to verify box codes if possible for the others. I'll report back either way. They do seem okay but that piramides has me puzzled..

The only regular production piramide in the Partagas line is the PSP2. Which is about that size, but has a different band. There was a piramide in '03 that had the regular Partagas band and came in a box set with cigars from other marques. It's certainly possible it could be one of those, just rebanded. but those were both spendy cigars, not sure if a counterfeiter would start with expensive product like that to only make a small margin of additional profit. Reality is that it could be just about anything.

As for the others, they very well might be legit. Can't tell from this photo. It's certainly possible that everything else is legit and he got sold a bum box from a source he trusted, or took a chance and got screwed unknowingly.

No..I meant, I plan to smoke the others to make sure. I'm with you on that Partagas.. I personally can't find anything wrong with them but my background with some of these is very limited. I'm getting box codes later to verify the others to go along with the dates. If he got burned on a box, he'll be just as surprised as me. Nice eye, though. That was one of the cigars I wasn't familiar with.

Make no mistake, I'm not accusing SLED of any intentional or knowledgeable wrongdoing here. Right now this looks like an unfortunate accidental incident. (Sh)It happens and I certainly wouldn't hold it against him if such is the case.

RyJ is confirmed and registered. More to come later. SLED has already offered to make it right for any cigars that aren't registered. Sometimes you get bit..it happens. I'm not worried about anything.
