Anyone the story behind those gear bands they put on their cigars.

I have heard they are going to make diff pieces over the next few years and apparently be able to make something out of them...???

Anyone else have insider info?

They aren't saying yet from what I understand but Michael Giannini is supposedly working on another cigar that will also have a special part to it...The gears are just one piece of something he's going to build over the next few years.. I don't know anything else about it, though..

Apparently they are doing an LE this year where the gears fit into or onto the box and the box will do something. Tis what i heard.

How about the cigar? Any good?

Macanudo put out a maduro cigar a few years ago, the Mac Vintage Maduro '97, that came with a nice stainless steel metal band. Pretty cool looking and the smoke was also good.

I've tried one. Can't remember the size...but it really wasn't anything to talk about. Never have bought another. Just one of those cigars I always see but never consider trying again.

I should have kept the gear...at least I would have got something out of it.

I didn't get grass from them.. They are quite different, though. The jury is still out for me.

The Mac Vintage Maduro is delicious IMO...you'll probably never see me say that about another Macanudo, though..
