If a cigar manufacture were to offer incentives in buying boxes would you purchase them for a chance?

Let say the put coupons in the boxes offering free swag stuff or boxes with a chance to win free cigars maybe even a grand prize with a chance to win a trip all expense paid to visit a factory.

We know how important marketing is like fancy bands. Some even put trading cards in boxes.

If they give me free swag or whatever, sure, it might help with the decision or at least make me happier about it after the fact.

Most contests just irritate me. A golden ticket for a cigar factory tour (or a motorcycle) might be fun.

IF the cigar was good...they sell themselves...no promotion is really necessary...case in point...ever see Padron '64 giveaways?

Now, it's been my experience that those that offer up the most swag offer the poorest quality. CAO comes to mind.

It would be pretty awesome if Padron offered coupons in box purchases but something tells me you're not talking about a good cigar manufacturer in concers with the OP...could be wrong...kinda doubt it though.

Not a fan of printed marketing materials inside boxes of cigars. Printing inks can have an odor, and the paper itself could be a problem unless it's acid-free with a neutral Ph.

The other problem I see is most of you hoarding ass mother ------'s have boxes and boxes that remain unopened for long periods of time.

(I say it like that, not because I'm against it, I'm just real jealous)

But I would think the ppl would only buy them if they planed on smoking them right away.

I try a ton of cigars, gimmicks and marketing ploys are a turn off. Some things that manufactures do are for the good of the consumer, The Tatuaje DD comes to mind. PJ ''absorbed'' the New York excise tax on any purchase made in NY, that is 75%.
