When you combine two names like Perdomo and Bugatti....good things are bound to happen. And trust me when I say this: Perdomo Bugatti is a very, very good thing. The cigar may employ two high-end, industry-leading names....but the cigar is all substance. Each Perdomo Bugatti utilizes an supremely vintage recipe of aged long-fillers grown throughout Nicaragua's top growing regions, including 4-year-old secos, 5-year-old visos, and 6-year-old ligeros. After a careful blending process, each cigar is then hugged by either a seamless Connecticut leaf that's silky-smooth. Bugatti Connecticut is buttery-smooth and creamy to the core, offering mellow notes of sweet tobacco, lightly creamed coffee, sweet cedar, and a touch of toast. Perdomo Bugatti. Two great tastes that taste great together.

Black Crown. This. This right here is a reason to love handmade, premium cigars. Black Crown is quite possibly one of the most complete blends you'll find. In fact, it's a rare feat in boutique premiums you'll be hard-pressed to find any factory accomplish. But Raices Cubanas has accomplished it, and the results were spectacular. Black Crown employs nine different tobaccos beneath the wrapper. That's insane. Seven different long-fillers - all vintage, Cuban-seed varieties grown throughout Central America - reside within two feisty binders: a Honduran Habano leaf and a Nicaraguan ligero leaf. Supremely complex and extremely difficult to blend, this gorgeous morsel is cloaked by a dark and leathery Honduran-grown Habano wrapper glistening with oils. After extensive post-roll aging, each Black Crown yields an eventful bouquet booming with balanced flavors, including earth, toast, peanut, cocoa, cedar, black pepper, and sweet notes. A whole lot going on, but the refined smoothness is an art form to be enjoyed. And enjoy you will.

Wrapper: Jalapa Ligero

JOE CIGAR PRICE:

MSRP: ($35.75)

Enjoy the softer side of Cain....sorta. Cain Daytona is a Nicaraguan puro made entirely of Nicaraguan-grown ligeros, from wrapper to filler. However, these ligeros hail from the Jalapa Valley, home of some seriously good tobaccos. Jalapa tobaccos are often used to generate smoothness in a blend, to help balance out the bouquet. In using well-aged ligeros from this region only, the Oliva factory has created a very full-flavored cigar with a mellower strength profile than the average Cain. In fact, it's a solid medium-bodied from start to finish. Expect a smooth series of earth and coffee, complementing the rich core of dark tobacco flavors quite nicely. The slightest dash of spice is present throughout, while a subtle sweetness lingers on the finish. Cain Daytona, a quality smoke to be enjoyed by all!
