Has anyone ever bought the xikar cigars, if so, do they work well?

I have a pair. Dont use them every day. Keep them in one of my herfadors. Use them on the golf course and for traveling purposes. Ain't really sure why I do that. It's just what I do.

Anyhow, they're ok but I prefer a guillotine.

If these are the folding one (not sure if they make any other kind) i have a pair. They have a kinda spring that keeps them folded. It broke with in the first couple of uses. I gave up on xikar after that. These were my thrid cutter that broke. All spring related. I know the warranty is great but after awhile i get tired of mailing them their broken cutters.

I have had a pair for a few years. Just stopped using them after I got a cheap pair of scissors as a freebie at the local shpo. The cheapy ones cut way smoother than the Xikars ever have.

I own most of the Xikar cutter line, the Xi 009 punch, Xi3 guillotine, MTX scissors (multi tool), and the XV V-cutter. Each are very good quality and Xikar has one of the best warranties in the industry so you won't go wrong with any of their products. The scissors are the cutter I use the least but they do a good job when I use them and are good to have in your vehicle or on your keyring in case you've forgotten all the your other cutters at home. The MTX is also nice to have when you are bleeding your lighter. The one I like the most... XV

Thanks everyone or the input. I've bought a couple of $25 Xikar guillotines but they seem to get dull quick. I have the cheaper black & white checkered ones, I wonder if I bring them back I can get a new one. I've tried punches, but unless the cigar is perfect for a punch it can crack it. Leaving me pissed off for being a cheap azzh#%#. I'm gonna have to break down and buy a really good one.
