I'm looking to get a box of Partagas Shorts. Does anyone have a reliable and trustworthy place I could get these from? I've never ordered these kinds of cigars before and any advice would be greatly appreciated. Half are for me and the other half are going to be a gift to my father in law. His birthday is May 18th. Please pm me any advice you can. I greatly appreciate any help with this.

I can't help you Steven but couldn't help but notice your FIL's B-Day date. Tell him I will be toasting him as we share the same day!!! Best of luck in your search brother. 🍺

I heard these were tasty. I have also heard the 50 cab is better due to the slight box press of the 25 box altering the draw. I don't have firsthand knowledge though as I have never seen nor gone anywhere near this contraband. 🍺

I'd be interested in either. A 50 Cab would be great. My only question is are these smokable out of the box or will I have to age them for a year or two?

Should I be looking to buy a box retail or buy from someone who's had a chance to age these for a year or two? I'd like them to be ready to smoke on the day I give them to him. I gave him a small glass top 50 count box a few weeks ago and my mom said he's been in heaven. He sits in his chair with the box on his lap and is constantly touching them and smelling them;-) He's always smoked the occasional cigar but never got around to getting a humidor. So I gave him one of my extra humidors and filled it. She's said he's had a glass of Scotch and a cigar every night before he goes to bed ever since. He's really my step dad but I could never get used to calling him that since I'd been out of the house for 5 years or so when my mom remarried(My father passed in '93 at the age of 43), I just call him Ed and refer to him as my father in law. Anyway.. if I buy a cab of 50 will they be ready to smoke or should I buy a cab of 50 and try to buy a 5er or 10er on the side from someone who's put some age on them?

They are very smokable OTT if you like the Partagas profile and a bit of a sharp leathery note which I do sometimes. They age well for years but it will be hard to find any aged stock at a retailer. Also hard to find cabs in stock sometimes.

Smoke 'em OTT. If you want to age some then you might want to buy two 50 cabs. Give 1/2 of one to your FIL, smoke the other 1/2 when you want, age the other 50. 😂
