I get best results with a soft pre-puff to get the cigar primed before taking a deep puff to deliver a full volume of smoke. I usually just blow out the small amount of smoke drawn from the pre-puff.

Next time you smoke a cigar you really like try it both ways (deep puff without the soft pre-puff vs pre-puff first before the full puff) to see what delivers the most satisfactory volume and flavor of smoke.

Either way, it's best to let the cigar rest about a minute between puffs. I've found this reduces the heat and harshness that happens when I smoke too fast. To make sure I do, I put the cigar down onto the ashtray between puffs.

I alway felt that smoking a cigar should be relaxing and enjoyable; So, with that being said, smoke them however lets you relax and enjoy them the most. I never thought about how fast or slow I should smoke a cigar.

A well constructed cigar helps out a ton, but i try to stay around 30s-60s in between puffs. HFBeads are A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. i havent had a burn issue yet after puttin them to use. Just bought another pound. I just try not to let it get too hot, i like to enjoy a cigar for as long as possible and when i draw too hard or frequently, i find it burns hotter and gets bitter/harsh sooner. but like everyone else said, as long as you are enjoying yourself, your doing it right. I have only found a few cigars worthy of nubbing,
