The President and the Vice President wasted time and political clout with their 2nd term tackling an "issue" that doesn't resonate with America. Then again this is the same walking toolbag that uttered American's cling to their Bibles and guns so he shouldn't be surprised that both pieces of legislation were reduced to DOA pieces of rags despite trotting out the families of a horrific tragedy and using them as props. See the show for what it was. They used the families of Sandy Hook like a Kleenex during flu season. They sent them around to ball parks...flew on Air Force One...trotted them up to the Hill and made them beg for these two bills to pass. The legislation amounted to a 2nd Amendment gun grab when you actually look at it. It's what's not said in them that most voted them down for.
That whole press announcement...stalling the FBI in Boston by the way with their presser...so he could cry and scold in the look down his nose manner that this POS always displays was despicable. Their grief is real and will be for the rest of their lives because a crazed lunatic allowed her insane son access and bonding time to her cache of weapons. She was the 1st victim that day by the way. The Kenyan King and Joey weeping? That was for the cameras. Maybe it's because they think America is finally on to them and the jig is up. We have enough laws on the books Federally and State by State on guns. We don't even enforce them!
Mr. President drop your own armed details, those for your families if you want to set some sort of precedence. Make everyone in your administration do the same but lead by example. Same for Mayor Bloomberg and any other political hack that wants to take, take and take. Show America how safe you are by doing that and perhaps your flawed legislation would have a chance to pass. Don't take some photo moment to go shotgun shooting...don't send Joey out and tell America to "Buy a shotgun...Buy a shotgun!" and Gabbie Gifford's AR-15 stockpiling hubby... while you're trying to pass some flim flam on her...jus' sayin' B.
Why don't you really do something America wants? Start there. To date you haven't done a damn thing useful or purposeful FOR America. It's been for some agenda. An agenda didn't elect you. It motivated some of the zombies to, but let's see the forest for the trees while we're at it.
Gallup: Only 4% of Americans Think Gun Control is an Important Problem
Only 4 percent of Americans think guns and gun control are an important problem facing the country, according to Gallup, and far more Americans are concerned about the economy, unemployment and the federal debt.In its poll from Apr. 4-7, Gallup surveyed 1,005 adults by telephone and asked, “What do you think is the most important problem facing the country today?”
Respondents answered in the following order:
Economy in general - 24%
Unemployment/Jobs - 18%
Dissatisfaction with Government - 16%
Federal budget deficit/Federal debt - 11%
Healthcare - 6%
Ethical/Moral/Family decline - 5%
Immigration/Illegal aliens - 4%
Education - 4%
Guns/Gun control - 4%
Situation with North Korea - 4%
Lack of Money - 3%
Welfare - 2%
Lack of respect for each other - 2%
Poverty/Hunger/Homelessness - 2%
Foreign aid/Focus overseas - 2%
Taxes - 2%
Despite the Obama administration’s strong push for more gun control legislation, few Americans are concerned about the issue.
As Gallup reports, “Few Americans mention guns or immigration as the most important problems facing the nation today, despite the current attention lawmakers in Washington are giving to these issues. The economy still dominates as the top concern, followed by jobs and dissatisfaction with the general way in which Congress and the government work.”
These data “underscore the prominence of economic issues in Americans’ minds,” said Gallup.

Personally, I think the Kenyan King will go on another vacation of epic proportions that most Americans won't ever be able to even fathom before he does a damn thing to help the economy.
