Poll Question: Which Florida city is best for a cigar vacation?

Not much of a big difference for that time of the year. What you're trading for maybe 5-8 degrees of temperature you're giving up in English language. Jus' sayin'.

Actually 2 years ago when we were there we went to Orlando (flew in and out) and our last few days in Orlando were much colder tan Tampa/St. Pete on the Beach.

That was the last week of Oct. 1st week of Nov. not gonna be much difference at the places that we will be smoking

The heritage in Ybor is really worth the visit in itself. You can tour the original buildings from the start of cigars in South Fl. The entire downtown area was one of the 1st in the country to be revitalized under the City HIstoric District National Preservation back in the 60's or 70's. The museum and workers living quarters are all original buildings as are others in the area. &th Ave is loaded with shops that roll in house. Well worth a visit if anyone is ever near and interested in history and especially cigar history, the Cuban Revolution, South Fl history, RR history, etc.

Russ,

My suggestion: Little Havana in Miami. LGC, Pepin, Sosa/Fuente, Titan and several other factories. In the area, you can also do Perdomo and Padron, Mike's Cigar, etc., etc. True, complete Cuban culture and cuisine to boot!

Best bet would be two days in Little Havana/Miami. Followed by a drive and night in Ybor to herf with a crew and go on a tour of the cigar history and Fuente. This would be followed by a short drive to Orlando for another half day followed by a herf and another half day to herf with the rest of us here in Central Florida at the world's largest cigar store-it will blow your mind!

If you want to drink and party 24/7, go to Key West and make a day trip to Little Havana. IMO, KW is an armpit. Just a ****load of Sweat, puke, bars and tourists. Rollers on the streets are over-priced and you don't know if you will like the cigar until after you buy it. It is worth one half-day, night and another half day. That is it.

Fly into whatever is cheapest, rent a car and drive in a circuit to wherever you want...

I'd really like to sit down and smoke a cigar or three and enjoy a couple drinks with you after all these years! Just let us know when and where.

You can bring my flu and pneumonia shots in lieu of a bar shot (unless i get my crap together and get it done at CVS). LOL! Swab me with tequila... When already? Next week would be good except for Thursday??? Free most daytimes too! Mondays and Wednesdays will be out as of the week after next as my son's next soccer season starts up.

Got my flu shot yesterday, already had my pneumonia shot a year or so ago, but I'm gonna get that Shingles shot, soon!!!

Rfenst. et al, I wish it wasn't so last minute, what with the Grandson's recurrence, and now MIL was admitted to the hospital yesterday, I've made no extra plans, yet, no extra days booked, etc. wife still has the fall mtg at St PEte on the Beach, gotta check in Thur, out by Sun.

Sure wish I had known all this last year, we were in the new Wyndham in Disney for a couple days after her mtg.

WIll always be more trips down that way, God willing, we plan on bringing the Grandkids down in the next year or so.

Tampa and Orlanda are both great, but I kinda like my back porch too. And I usually get a coyote serenade to go with my cigar and beer.

Tampa is the only place I travel where there are more cigar nubs in the ashtray outside my hotel than cigarette butts.

Ybor is fantastic (and a freak show)
