Alright here goes with the last of the five unbanded cigars. I must say that this one peaked my interest from the moment that I took it out of the box.
The wrapper looks a little knarly...medium brown, very veiny with some dark brow spots. Pretty sure it is a single cap.
It lit easy with the torch. First inch...pretty smooth, light grey ash. No bitterness, no pepper. Didn't produce a lot of smoke. Hard to describe the taste at this point. Mild/medium strength. Ash is still holding strong at about 2 solid inches but isn't billowing out smoke. So far it is a good cigar, it just doesn't have a bunch of flavors. Sometimes I get a cigarette type of flavor to a cigar....this one does not have any of that.
Last third and it has finally hit its stride. It is producing a lot more smoke and has become a tad bit bitter (but not bad). I am starting to feel the cigar at this point and it is time to wrap it up.
Overall, not a bad cigar. I would say that this is in the $5-10 range, probably more toward the $5 end. It just didn't have the complexity of flavor that I have become a little more accustomed to. I am very curious as to what this cigar is.
Tim, thanks for the 5 cigars and the experience. I learned a lot about how I smoke, what I like, and what I don't like in the course of this experiment.
