rick: i agree those are good looking cars, but...

...you're taking a horrible sample from today, and comparing it to a "best of" list you compiled. not really fair.

every generation has had its yawners and ugly ducklings.

me, i drive a civic - about as bland as they come (but, with gas prices, i'm loving the mileage it produces).

there are, however, some beauties out there today.

heck, i even like the scion - i believe your wife drives one?

Cars look exactly alike today (which I think was RICKAMAVEN's point) because they've all passed a wind tunnel test to determine the most efficient shape and height off the ground for the least wind resistance and noise. Hordes of people have been buying trucks and SUV's because they don't look exactly the same from brand to brand and they're more than three inches off the ground so we old people can get in and out easier. The Chrysler 300 is selling like hotcakes. Is it a great car? I don't know. Does it look different than the other crap out there? Yes. Maybe there's another connection...

i got his point. but, there was homogenization back then, too.

Ryan

Missed the point, I think, since cars have no identity today, they all look alike! Give me lots of chrome and fins anyday........my perfect gift from God, would be a 1959 Cadilac El Dorado Convertiable! Red!
