Ok everybody, I was asking about good cigars. I didn't expect to get so many negative replies. Just trying to find a good smoke, like I said, I'm new to cigars. I've only been around them for a couple months and would like to learn about what I should look for in a good cigar. I've had CAO and really like the MX2. Is there anything similar to that? I like to try new things too so if you have any advice on it, PM me and spare the forum all this BS.

And here's where I always chime in about MOWs and LHC Core. Yep, I'm a Man of War and Core whore. At least it rhymes better than being a MUWAT twa....

He he, and OP you've now gotten your welcome to the forum baptism by fire. Yeah, we're all immature azzhats. Welcome aboard!

A few to consider:
Hoyo De Monterrey Maduro or Dark Sumatra
Jamie Garcia Reserva
Any Fuente Maduro especially the Hemingway's (try a WOAM)
Perdomo 10th Anniv Maduro
Tatuaje Miami or Reserva

OP, during my recent deployment I too got into cigars. I used that time to do a lot of research, not only by reading and lurking on this forum but research in the sense of buying a ton of different stuff and trying as much as I could.

There will be some cigars you like that others don't. To this day, I still haven't smoked an Oliva V that didn't have burn issues and that I enjoyed, yet, there are people that think it's an amazing stick. Just buy up some stuff and try it out. I personally recommend the Ramon Bueso Genesis the Project specifically in robusto size. It's a great burn time, has great flavors, is a very great price by the box and is not to full for a beginner.

Oliva V Lancero was extremely pleasant for me. Never had one w/ burn issues, either.

I agree w/ the Genesis. Liked them when I first started...though my tastes have changed since then.

i appreciate all the advice, I've been reading in some forums and I've noticed that this is a pretty small community and i like that.

For the comments about mooching, if anybody ever sends me anything I will send something back in return. I don't plan on mooching but I would like the friends.

Thanks to all who help with questions and after i get back to the states, I can actually get started on making a collection. Afghanistan is a place where cigars die if they aren't smoked. I may just buy a sampler of some of the recommendations.

Give up the addy, OP!

We hijacked your thread to commit serious fratricide but we still need the addy.

Just don't post it on the thread, PM it to anyone who's posted here. Nothing bad will happen, honest. You can trust me.

Oh yeah, 55!!!!!!

If you roll through KAF, let me know. I run the cigar club here. Or at least I will for a couple more weeks, then I hand it off.

Before any of you asshats get any ideas... I moved.
